A LITTLE ABOUT DAVE
Dave Johnson grew up learning to respect and look out for those less fortunate. His parents would welcome hobo’s who rode the rails near their home. They would feed them, allow them to take a bath and wash their clothes. Dave’s heart is for the lost and brokenhearted and that they would experience Jesus.
Dave has been on several Cursillo teams as well as Alpha teams. He has been a counselor and chaplain at The Salvation Army ARC, a member of the Crisis Intervention team at Anoka County Jail. He has been on a team with Marjorie Cole that taught a class on spiritual warfare at Lino Lakes Prison. He has mentored men in prison and spent ten years on the Healing Rooms ministry team. Dave answered the call to do evangelism in India.
He has worked at MN Adult & Teen Challenge as a Recovery Coach and in Admissions where he was the first contact for people calling for help. He has started Lost Sheep Ministries MN to come alongside those still in the struggle that are open to having a better life.
Dave speaks at churches and recovery programs. He disciples those with a similar heart. He is on the Board of Grace in the City Church.
Dave Johnson has been called to be a Chaplain to the Lost Sheep. He recognized that he had to get out of the boat so that those people who are caught up in addiction have an opportunity to experience freedom.
“Forget the former things. Do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs forth. Do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” -Isaiah 43: 18-19
A FEW TESTIMONIALS
DONATE TO LOST SHEEP MINISTRIES
Dave Johnson and his team of recruits are feeding the homeless at the Tent City, visiting the broken and addicted in the jails, prisons, on the streets, in the hospitals, going to court with them and burying their dead.
There is no end to the work and a desperate need for both laborers and finances. The wish list includes:
- A van to transport people and supplies.
- Money to finance the work and sustain the workers in their full time pursuit of this harvest of souls.
- A program of recovery and restoration to deliver and disciple those lost and left for dead.
We will all have to give an account to God someday for how we used our resources. So please consider this urgent simple request.
Help us go the Highways and Hedges and compel them to come in, Luke 14:21-23 and Matthew 25:31-46. No Excuses!
